This vet hospital is by far the best one I’ve been to in the city area. My 8 week old pup had been attacked. I walked in the door with him in arms, as soon as they saw us both & visibly in distress called over their phone system and a tech was immediately there to grab my baby and take him back to get looked at. As the tech was grabbing him from my arms she was still quick and informative “this is what he’ll need right now it’s costs this much is this ok” then took him back. I paid a deposit and sat down in the lobby. The place was packed & constantly more coming & going. Another tech was walking around asking if anyone needed any cold bottled water. The tech came out & gave me updates on my pup. I was in the waiting area for about 2hours before being taken back to a private room where the doctor came in & explained in more detail what the course of action has been and would continue to be. I was brought an estimate for additional testing and expressed to them what my budget was. The tech & doctor came back to me with a cheaper option and donated medication for my pup. I seriously can’t thank this team enough for all the help in caring for our family puppy and also making sure to keep me as comfortable as could be and trying to also accommodate my budget hike still trying to save my puppy and give him the best care. You all are amazing. My family is forever grateful!
I want to give a big shout out to Jessie! I brought in my Rottweiler SO worried of the serious symptoms he was having. Jessie answered all of my questions, which you can imagine were a lot at the time. She was very knowledgeable and thorough. My boyfriend who is always skeptical searched up everything they prescribed to my pup. To our surprise it didn’t seem like this place was in it for the money. Everything that they gave our puppy is the exact same price we could’ve bought it ourselves. After Jessie went over every prescription in detail I was happy with the outcome. Emergency trips to the vet are not cheap but I genuinely believe that these people are good and here to help. I’m very heart warmed with the experience I had.
This place is amazing! I 1000% trust them with all of our pets and highly recommend. We have had two visit here and each time they have done a phenomenal job. The last visit was an emergency and they gave us all options, with comfort and keeping him alive first. Ultimately we had to make the difficult decision for our boy. Neel's staff was extremely sweet and compassionate during that difficult time.. I appreciate everything they have done for my family. #RIPKemba
I can’t say enough good things about Neel Veterinary hospital. This is our third visit and our most extensive. Our Ruby (1.5 yr old Boston Terrier) went in with severe vomiting and ended up being admitted to the ICU for a week. During this time she went from being an incredibly sick puppy with the need to emergency gallbladder surgery which would have been high risk, to being released on medical management with carefully monitored diet and medications. She’s by no means out of the risk for future surgery but I have no doubt the staff at Neel saved our baby’s life. Shes home and gaining weight and back to being a high energy puppy thanks to the amazing staff at Neel! We also really appreciated being able to visit her every day while she was hospitalized. We were never turned away even at their busiest times!
Tankard went to Neel this past Thursday, after our vets discovered a mass in his abdomen and signs of cardiomyopathy. Neels found multiple masses and he started having atrial and ventricular arrhythmia. In the end, we took him home to spend time with his brothers and sisters. Tank left us 72 hours after his initial visit, surrounded by the peolpe and pups that loved him... Dr Eisenhower was so wonderful to Tank. We could not have had anyone better to help us with this horrible situation. She was blunt, which is what I needed, but she was also extremely comforting and respectful. Thank you so much for the love and care you gave to my boy on his last day. While I still can't wrap my head around what happened, I know it would have been a lot worse without your help. I hope you get to read this and enjoy the pictures I loaded of Tankard in his prime.
I’m writing this review because not only because we had a bad expierence but in the hopes that the management of Neel’s actually does something to fix the issue. Our cat passed away while at Neel’s in their ICU. He was very sick and we’re not upset that they weren’t able to save him. We’re upset due to the lack of staffing, organization, and overall chaotic atmosphere. We brought our cat in as a transfer Saturday morning from our regular vet to Neel’s because they were more equipped to help him. The staff and the Dr that we spoke with were very friendly but they were completely overwhelmed with the amount of patients that were there. We waited several hours, spoke with several different staff members, and would repeat the same things that we had just told someone else. At one point the Dr came in the office to tell us they were out of a medicine he would need. We already had that medicine with us and had given it to the tech earlier. It seems like there was a major lack of communication and follow through. He passed Saturday night, Sunday morning we came back to say good bye and finish paperwork. The first tech brought us to a room then brought him in the room for us. She said she would be back in a few minutes with some paperwork, she did not ever return. We mourned with our cat for awhile and then started to look around the hallway as it had been an hour and a half. There was no one in the ICU waiting area for quite sometime. A while later a different tech entered with another patient/family and we asked her for some assistance. She said she’d be right back and never returned. A while after that a third tech came by and finally saw us through the rest of the process. While we were waiting for the third tech to finish up several other families entered the waiting area, this one tech was juggling 4 families at once that had all lost a loved one. After we finished the paperwork the third tech went to help the other families and we waited yet again because we were afraid they would forget our cat in the room like they forgot about us. All this to say, we not upset with the staff. They were incredibly busy and there were no where near enough staff to help all the patients that were there. I don’t think they could have saved our cat but I wonder how many animals have suffered due to this understaffing. I wonder how many families have been forgotten in a waiting room for hours. This is fixable. You can’t save everyone but you’re going to save even less running a hospital with barely any staff. I bet your people are stressed out to the max. I know that Dr was. Amd: As I went to Google to post this, your indeed reviews from previous employees came up. They all complained about the high stress and low staff. You clearly have an issue. Management you need to do better.
