Description New 2 U Rescue is an all breed dog rescue located in Rochester, NY. We are a 501c3 nonprofit and NY State registered. We do not have a physical location as all dogs are kept in foster homes. You can find us on facebook and petfinder. We take in local dogs in need (priority), puppy mill dogs no longer wanted by the miller as well as dogs from south if space allows.

I adopted my sweet Dolores (formerly Fiona) from this rescue and she had the best foster! Asked all of the right questions to insure the dogs in her care are matched with the perfect family so everyone is set up for success. Was so impressed with how thorough she was and how much information she shared before and after the adoption. Thanks for all that you do, Dee!

New2U Rescue did a great job making sure we were the right fit for our pup. They love their dogs so much and really try to get the pups to a good place where they are ready to adopt. They are very up front about potential behavioral issues so it allows potential owners to make real assessments of their own fit as well. I can’t thank them enough for our sweet pup and everything they are doing for our community.

i have read all the comments from everyone who has posted a review and i have screenshots… i was gunna see about this place but HECK NO!!! customer service sucks!!! the comments from the owner are very rude!!! i saw a handful of their comments. and it’s just straight rude! seems like a miserable person🤣! i was thinking about it but then.. nah these reviews and comments on their bad reviews by the owner. jeez. grow up and learn actual customer service skills especially the owner. i don’t know why people are MANDATED TO HAVE A FENCE EITHER!!!!!! you should not be turned away bc of a NONE FENCED HOUSE!!!! and even then if it’s not fenced in what happens… like yall make no sense. crazy people work here clearly. if anyone wants to see, just go look at their comments and reviews. or i have them screenshots of this person being absolutely absurd! and the qualifications to have one is you need a fence🤣 bruh. there’s something called a leash. my dog has always had zoomies and energetic. he didn’t need a fence tho🤣🤣 he was fine with a leash. yall just asking too much for literal bs. a husky doesn’t need a fence… a german shepard don’t need a fence. these people must not know much about dogs. Not a single dog NEEDS a fence. a fence is helpful sure. but they don’t NEED a fence! they will be perfectly fine if you just walk them frequently and give them a lot of attention and play time since they are so energetic. you’d be better off going to lollypop farm than these crazy people. i’d rather go out of state than go to these people. i’ve also worked with domestic animals and farm animals so i’d know if a dog needed a fence. and no dog NEEDS a fence. i wouldn’t be surprised if they told you that a calm mellow dog needs a fence. what if you’re the perfect match and u check all boxes. but you get turned down because oh yea NO FENCE. at the end of the day it should be about ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS DOG NOT IF U HAVE A FENCED IN HOUSE!!!!! are you gunna walk them? are you gunna feed them? are you able to provide for them? if the dogs aggressive towards other animals you can’t have other pets in the house. THOSE ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT MATTER!!! not a damn fenced in house!

I got my darling Murray from this amazing rescue and they were helpful along the entire way. I can’t recommend them enough. They take wonderful care of their fosters and work hard to pair them with the right humans.

I adopted my dog from New 2 U over 3 years ago. The adoption process is fairly easy if you meet their criteria. My dog was and still is in great health. They made sure he was neutered and chipped before I was allowed to complete the adoption. They really care about their animals.

Adopted Capt Jack from New 2 U Rescue this month and couldn't be happier. Amy and the entire team are incredible. The adoption was very well done and they care deeply for their animals. Thank you all so much. Greatly appreciate everything you did for the newest member of our family.
