I am so thankful for Wags and whiskers. This is where I got my little Gracie/AKA Daisy. I wanted another Maltese but couldn’t afford to buy one, so I prayed and before too long I received her. She still has some quirks from her previous life but that’s ok I just love her right where she’s at. It’s been almost a year and she has really grown and opened up. Thank you Wags and Whiskers!

I am very suspicious of this organization. I was interested in adopting one of their older dogs named Jazz. His profile said heartworm negative. When I asked to meet him I was informed that he was positive for heartworms. I went to meet him anyway. I took my Golden Retriever with me. We went inside and the lady's home reeked of urine. She had 7 dogs. My Golden was terrified and poor Jazz was in desperate need of medical attention! I asked about his medical care and found that he had no medical care since he left the shelter 5 months prior. I took Jazz and rushed to my vet who said that if I hadn't brought him in when I did he would have been dead within 2-3 days from pulmonary edema! He had scabs all over his little chest and tummy from fleas, he was coughing nonstop and having difficulty breathing. Anyone could have seen he needed to see a vet. I called animal control! I worry about the animals in their care.

I contacted Wags and Whiskers in Grand Bay, AL. There is no address, no phone number, and no contact name - only email. When we travelled to meet the dog, (an 11lb Maltese) the foster explained that the animal wasn't just timid, she bites! When I asked if they were affiliated with WAW in Mobile, she was unsure. The foster brought this timid, antisocial, biting dog loose in her car and when she tried to capture the dog so we could get a closer look, the poor animal crawled under the dashboard. My husband spent at least 30 minutes taking the car apart and finally got her out. The foster ended up wrapping the dog in a blanket and holding her while she drove home! The whole thing was very suspicious. Again, this is not a review of the Mobile franchise.

Great organization. Wonderful fosters. Quick process. We can't wait to have our precious Georgia join our family next week!

Dont say that you are going to reach out to every applicant when you dont. There is an address on your page, and apparently no one works at that building. My dad made a trip all the way from the state line to the said address. Kinda shotty if you ask me.

Rude for no reason. No idea why the lady got an attitude with me when she asked to take a pet I am looking for a home for to “rehome” for a profit. What sense does that make to take an animal already trying to be adopted out for free so you can make a profit? I do have a rehoming fee that goes right back to the other animals I take care of and foster but she gonna put “foster” in quotations like I’m a joke or something lol stay out of my inbox unsolicited and mind your business. And if you really cared you’d post the animal anyway and advertise him for free. My local shelter does it. Most other shelters do that. Seems Money hungry to me
