Wonderful and blessed adoption and volunteer experience! From the time you enter, you are greeted by passionate animal lovers who absolutely adore what they do. They embody the spirit of Charity in the King James version sense of the word - as the highest calling God can give us. Customer service is top notch, so helpful. The director loves to introduce herself to new volunteers and persons looking to adopt. Everyone is so kind and courteous in everything they do. All of the animals are kept in immaculate conditions and fed the best food available. Positive energy radiates throughout the building and the grounds. The community loves Mobile SPCA and is proud to help support it. The feeling of Love is totally mutually - Mobile SPCA is thrilled to help people from the community adopt any animals they have, and make the entire process straightforward, affordable, and seamless from start to finish. Whether working in the office or on the grounds, the employees and volunteers take pride in what they do and put the animals before everything else. Money is never even a discussion here. The animals are treated exactly how they deserve, with love, compassion, empathy, and respect. We love you and are sending prayers your way - Thank you!
Joey Mabry’s previous review is very accurate. The exact same thing happened to us. It seems that there is so much more emphasis on transporting rather than adopting. We tried to adopt a puppy that was there, as well. They told us they were not allowed to tell us where the animal was being transported to or what facility. We were willing to go there (Pennsylvania) to adopt. They don’t return phone calls or emails either. Rude staff. They don’t support their mission statement… pathetic! Still waiting on a return call…
I went to adopt a dog. My Shih Tzu was 16 years old when I had to put her down. She was blind, only a few teeth. She couldn't control her back legs. I used 3 different vets in the 16 years I had her! They turned me down because they said they couldn't confirm enough info on my Misty. I spent a lot of money at her vets through the years! I guess they didn't like it because she had 3 vets! I didn't appreciate being told I couldn't adopt her! She was featured on Pet of the week on channel 5 noon news! She would have had love & care for the rest of her life. ☹️😢
In response to Sherry Mather’s earlier review… 1. Sherry called a 3rd time to speak to the director and was told that there must be a misunderstanding because the director returned a call to Sherry Jenkins. My wife is Sherry Mather. She has no missed calls, messages, or a response to her emails as of this posting. 2. As to the director’s assertion that she emailed her husband, that would be me… and she was not provided my email address. So, this is not true! 3. The puppy we looked at was not the one referred to in the response, so the director must be referring to the other customer, Sherry Jenkins, that apparently has the same complaint as us. Additionally, it was never our intention to complain to the Pennsylvania shelter which received the puppy. As we have explained, we wanted the ability to go pick up the puppy at their location.
An oasis in the desert. The only place you can reach out to that makes sure a puppy will end up in a loving home. Thank God for the people that do this everyday.
Great place with a very good cause as the work they do helps poor innocent animals to survive . please donate whatever amount of dollars, time or to their thift store to help them continue with their wonderful work
