Description Companion Animal Alliance is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 2010 to increase the save rate of animals in our community. In partnership with the East Baton Rouge City-Parish, CAA operates the EBR Parish open-intake shelter, caring for nearly 9,000 animals each year including cats, dogs, horses, wildlife, and exotic animals. CAA has increased the save rate of animals to 77% annually from 20% in 2010.

Kept my cat Luna as a foster for a few months before finally adopting her and adding her to the family. The process was simple and easy, and the staff were super helpful and friendly! I recommend CAA to everyone interested in fostering/adopting!

We adopted Chester (formerly Ollie) in December 23' and Leidi (formerly Bristol) this March and I think it's safe to say they are living it up! Companion Animal Alliance is the only place we get our pets from. They are passionate about what they do and make the adoption process easy, while also providing new pet owners with tons of resources to help care for the animal.

We looked at several of their dogs to adopt. I love that there is a dog park right outside the facility that you can take prospective pets to walk around and get to know. The staff was also very friendly. It's pretty clean as well.

I've had my Princess (AKA Rosie) for 2-3 years now and she's the best little girl. We are best friends and she worrys over me when I have health issues. She is my constant companion and I love her so much. She is even a companion to the parakeet we have. She's always right there when I clean the cage to make sure I do it right.

About 2 weeks ago I walked in and adopted a black lab…I was lucky to get one that just moved into my home and heart like he’s been here forever. CAA was so easy to work with.

This is a shelter in Baton Rouge. It is very clean, well organized, and appears well managed. We adopted three kittens there who were well taken care of. There are other good shelters in Baton Rouge so please go out and adopt.
