I didn't go because they never called me back. I had rescued a dog from them many years ago and he was a trooper and a love. He had abused. But he always loved me. He didn't sleep with me because he had been beaten. But if I got up for some reason, I would hear his tail wagging. So I figured out which of his beds he was in or if he was on the couch. I'd go over and pet him on my way back to bed.

Our pocket dog is so happy. I am thankful these people held onto her while we raced the clock before she was put down. She has come so far. We will never know the life she had before we brought her home that day. She is our foster fail. We love her to bits.

Such wonderful, kind & professional staff work here. We recently found a beautiful collie on I25 north who jumped right into our vehicle. She was cold & wet, but very sweet. If we were able to have kept her, we definitely would have kept her. We only spent all of 10 minutes with this dog, but she melted our hearts immediately. We wish this 🐕 all the best and to find her forever home that loves & appreciates her. A very big THANK YOU to Sonora Animal Shelter for being available in the early morning hours and taking this sweet collie in. GOD bless you all!!!

I adopted a puppy from here. Autumn was super helpful and even came in on her day off to let me adopt because I was going to drive in from out of town. They have lots of happy dogs here and would definitely recommend checking them out.

The staff that works here are absolutely the most heinous and unkind people I have ever met in my entire life. I don’t understand why you would bother working at an animal shelter if you don’t actually care at all about animals. The woman who “helped” me basically said I might as well just let a 6 week old kitten die and refused to even point me in the direction of any help. Fine if you can’t take the animal, I understand but how unbelievably unkind she was was disgusting at best. She is seriously a monster and I hate to think how the animals here are even treated if that is the general attitude of a staff member.
