At the beginning of May we were on the second day of our vacation when my 13 year old dog suddenly began his final health decline (due to cancer), and we called around all the hospitals (on a Saturday) to find somewhere to take him and the staff at this Banfield were so kind to try and take us in despite being booked up. Unfortunately, they did have to send us to the ER (where the wait time was about 4 hours at least) but the doctor was so very nice and made me feel like he did care but discussed that he feared my boy would need hospitalization and work up that they couldn't provide given his degree of sudden onset pain. I wish I remembered the doctor and receptionists name, but if I could thank them I would. I can't review on a full visit here, but I saw their honesty and compassion in the 15 minutes we were in their lobby.

I pay a monthly fee to Banfield and this is the only reason I use this vet. I'm seriously considering canceling the insurance. My dog is getting older and has a urinary tract infection. I took her in early in the morning and left her there so they could get a urine sample. I called about 1 pm to see if I could pick her up and they told me that they were unable to get a sample but that she had peed all over her crate several times. I went there, walked her and got the sample for them which confirmed the UTI. The vet prescribed some antibiotics that were $140 if I bought them from them. The same anitbiotic is around $20 at the pharmacy. Needless to say, I bought them from the pharmacy. She has now gone through the antibiotics but continues to show signs of the UTI so I called to see if the vet could precribe another round of antibiotics but never heard back. I called back the following day which is now Saturday only to be told that the vet that treated her is out until Tuesday and no other vet will look at the notes or diagnosis and precribe the antibiotics. So she has to suffer several more days until the same vet comes back for vacation or wherever, or I can make another appointment (nothing available at this time) to see another vet. Seriously bad service.

If you love your pet, stay clear of this place! Horrible, incompetent veterinarian at this location! This vet was already reported to the SC Veterinary Licensing Board that is now on file. Nothing more to discuss as far as we are concerned. Client advocate team should have reached out to us after finding out our dog died two hours after bringing her home from surgery!

I had taken my Boston Terrier, Bridget, to Banfield for several years and they take good care of her. The doctor always updates me after her visit. The preventative care program was worth the cost.

My dog ingested mold and they refused to see her only because she was due for shots and they were worried that she was going to bite them ok and I said she is ill She’s not gonna be worried about biting anyone and they refused to take care of my dog. So I hung up on them and will never be going back prices are high and they diagnosed your dog wrong for money and never have availability for your dog negative stars Get better staff that’s not rude to customers if they want to have a business Also it’s sad when u walk in to talk to someone they act like they can’t see u
