DO NOT under any circumstances call this place to pick up a stray dog or any dog that is being abused or mistreated. This place is worse than any possible condition a wondering animal may be in. At present, on their Facebook page, they say they are " going to begin euthanizing animals due to overcrowding and POSTING their photos on their Facebook page to encourage people to adopt or rescue them from their facility. AVOID this place at all costs!

Wow no compassion after reporting that my 3 cats were possibly poisoned. Called to report possible poisoning and all I got was basically blamed for not watching over them. I've been a responsible cat owner all my life and know the difference. Never had 3 cats randomly die at the same time. Then he tells me to get blood work to find the cause. What happened to to officers who are appointed to protect the rights of animals and doing the investigation themselves and not leave it to the grieving owners. Didn't even bother to ask for my name or the location. I guess for him it's just another less animal he has to worry about. Just sad to know he didn't even care.

Called about a kitten on the website that was brought in on a Wednesday and verified 3 times it was still there before driving 1 1/2 hours from Tucson. When we arrived and were brought back to get the kitten the officer couldn't find it. She called someone and then told us there must have been a mix up with the paper work because southern arizona cat rescue did come pick up some cats earlier. Never even got an apology from them she just gave me the nber to call even though you can't talk to to a live person

How is this site the least bit helpful? Where are photos of available dogs for adoption? Geeze! Come into the 21st century! Might as well be in an old fashioned telephone book in the government white pages.

I called to find out if a neighbor´s dog might have been picked up by Animal Control and was told that someone would have to go down to the shelter to look, and that they ¨don´t give out information over the phone¨. Does anyone understand the concept of public service any more, and why are the taxpayers paying for their phone if they don´t use it to inform the public. Pathetic. I want my tax money back.

Won't give information over the phone you have to go in even if you have a pet lost and on top of that they only hold your pet for a few days before putting it up for adoption so if you don't go check very day you could lose your pet because they won't give information over phone bad system had my friends almost lose there pet because of it
