Description Lake City Humane Society is made up of dedicated staff who will always try to go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure the best care for the animals. Along with a constant fellowship of volunteers and help from the community, the Lake City Humane Society has been able to care for over 5,000 animals each year. Striving to find everyone a home, the staff will do whatever it takes to make ensure every animal is cared for and as many that are able to find their forever homes. Lake City Humane Society has spent many years making connections with local and far off rescues to help the animals who are in the most need.

We had a great experience when we adopted our sweet girl in June. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable when I asked questions regarding some of her care needed when taking her home.

Staff was very kind and helpful when we adopted our girl in October. You can tell they love what they do and care so much about the animals they take in. 6 months later our girl is thriving and about to start obedience school. I would 100% adopt again from them!

Thank you for a great experience adopting our two lab puppies. Liz and the staff went above and beyond for us. The remodel is welcoming and inviting. We are very proud to have a new director, Elizabeth Halloran, join the shelter as our new leader. There are so many neat things happening and the place looks awesome. Many animals are finding their forever homes. Thank you to all that show your support to us with your adoptions, volunteer work and financial support.

These poor folks need volunteers to come help keep this place clean. They are doing their best, I think. Were definitely friendly. But need help getting cleaned up for the animals. Loaded with pit bulls no one wants. Terrible situation for the animals and the people trying to help

Adopted a puppy from here in April and they ALL were really helpful through the whole process. When I got Lilly she was to young to be spayed and they cant adopt them out until they are. So they have a program where I fostered her until the adoption which took place the day she was spaid. The arranged the surgery. I dropped her off and they transported her to a local vet for the procedure and I picked her up the next day with a nice care package and completed the adoption. They also micro chip the dogs and are all up to date on there shots. The place was clean and all animals looked well taken care of. Couldnt be more happier with Lilly.
