I was reluctant to switch vets as I was with my previous vet for over 8 years. Since we moved our vet was about 40 minutes away. I tried a couple and was not as happy. I then tried VCA Apache Junction and was blown away with every interaction I had. I have 6 dogs and have taken 3 to them and had a great experience every time.

I made a big mistake and arrived at what I thought was my appointment for my sick dog. We are new to the area and I had taken my cat twice to this clinic and was satisfied. My dog had diarrhea and I called what I thought was VCA for an appointment. It took 5 days to get in. Well I did not realize there was another Apache Junction animal hospital and accidentally called the wrong one. They have terrible ratings. I was pretty embarrassed and upset. Yes it was absolutely my fault. My issue is with the front desk staff. When I asked if they had any openings I was told not until Tuesday ( it was Friday). As I explained the situation another person at the desk mentioned there was availability. The person I was working with said no, that was their catch up time. They referred me to an urgent care clinic instead ( they were good but expensive). I had to get my dog treated so that it is what I did. My last vet would have never done this. They would have fit me in. I get this was my fault. It was obvious that this was a stressful situation and I was doing my best. I was trying to stay at my new clinic. I am now looking for a new vet . Don’t act like you value a client and then to their face tell them you could find a way to help but won’t. It felt bad. I was supposed to go back with my cat Luna for a recheck but now will search for a new clinic. I have learned over the years that if you get treated line this it never gets better. When you are in a tough spot, you hope that your clinic will help if they can. This one proved they will not - ever.

Sadly, I had to put my fur baby Krouse to sleep, but the vet sat on the floor with me while he went over the rainbow bridge. Excellent, caring service! Thank you 😊

This place is annoying. I made an appt to get my cat checked out. They called 2x before the appts to leave voicemails. The first was to ask me to bring my paperwork to the appt. Which is said I would do when I made the appt. The second was to tell me they haven’t received that paperwork and if I don’t call them before the end of day they will cancel my appt. ??? I had already told them they would get her paperwork at the appointment. Both those calls were unnecessary and I should be able to confirm by text as a default option as well. People work during the day and can’t take or make calls. It felt like they were harassing me before her appt and didn’t want me to come in. I canceled and told them communication doesn’t seem to be their thing. I’ll go to an office that can communicate. Having to touch base with an office 3x prior to an appt to avoid them canceling it on you is ridiculous and I don’t even have to do that for a human Dr appt. They need to get a grip. I've gone to this office several times in the last year to vaccinate and have wellness visits for my young cats. The staff works hard and checks in regularly. This is a pet hospital, so sometimes there is a wait if you don't have something urgent if there is a pet emergency in the office. As long as you're a patient person, the level of care and expertise is worth it for your pets.

Friendly staff, took our dog Sasha to the back for her right after her weight was taken for her appt. Dr. Tim is great! Very thorough and explains things clearly and easy to understand.
