Frankie is perfect and we're so happy she loves her forever home! After the sudden and very unexpected passing of my first dog, Sheldon, my other dog, Buster, and I were lost without him. We mourned a great deal and, while I knew I would eventually adopt another dog, I had not thought it would have been so soon after Sheldon's passing. However, the moment I saw Frankie's picture, I was in love with her because she looks like she could have been Sheldon's sister. After reading her bio and talking with Bluetails Pet Rescue, it sounded like Frankie had a lot in common with Sheldon and could be a wonderful fit with Buster. She was described as a playful and cuddly pup who loves to play fetch and who likes every person and dog she meets. After learning more about her, I was certain she would be a wonderful fit. I completed the adoption process for Frankie in mid to late November, but was informed that the rescue's transport van was in the shop. The staff at Bluetails were wonderful and provided me with updates until the van was finally repaired and they could bring Frankie to St. Louis where I would meet them to bring Frankie home. Frankie's transport day came on December 3rd and Bluetails provided regular updates on their ETA to STL which was important because I'm about a 3.5-4 hour drive from STL. I had to arrange it just right so I could meet them without either party waiting too long for the other because we both had long drive's ahead of us. The updates from Bluetails made for a very easy day with only about a 10 minute wait. That was great! Now, here we are. Tomorrow night marks one week that Frankie has been home and we are so lucky and thankful to have her in our lives. A friend referred to her as a "plug and play" dog. I hadn't heard of this before, so she explained that's a dog who just fits right in from the very first moment. That couldn't be more true! Frankie belongs with Buster and me, and we belong with her. I am incredibly grateful to Bluetails Pet Rescue for bringing Frankie into our lives. Frankie is home! And now she will know love and safety for the rest of her life. ❤ (The last picture is of Sheldon and Buster so you can see how much Frankie looks like Sheldon. 😍)

I knew the minute I saw Hope online that she was “the one” to join our family of rescues. The Blue Tails team went above and beyond to help us adopt Nola (formerly Hope). Above and beyond is an understatement. This little nugget ran away right before the transport north which means she missed the bus. My extended family was pretty sure i had fallen into some sort of scam…and let me tell you, they are real and amazing. The Bluetails team moved heaven and earth to find the lost pup and help us figure out how to get her from Louisiana to Illinois. They are real and passionate and kind and this pup has stolen our hearts. We would adopt from them again in a heart beat.

POLO ASSESSMENT We love him already and he’s here to stay!!!! Other than coming home with fleas, (which is not unheard of), he is a sweet, wonderful dog!!! Intelligent, mostly docile, attentive, likes to snuggle, follows me like a shadow. Likes his walks, and he Knows his name and comes when called but is not trained to sit, stay, lay down etc…. He is good on walks on harness, but needs Improvement for barking and leash pulling. Jumps/bounces thru yard @ squirrel sightings, too funny. He does love fetch and will return /release ball to chase it again. Getting groomed and microchipped tomorrow so I’ll send. New photos. Thank you. We are so pleased with Polo, he is truly a great dog!!!!

I recently adopted a dog from Bluetails. I had my eye on one dog. She was deemed to not be a great fit for me. The coordinator gave me other options and did end up getting a dog who I would not have looked at twice. She is the perfect addition to our family (consisting of myself and my 5 year old toy Aussie). Minnie is the exact temperament I was wanting. She is blending in beautifully. I used the transport service which was great. They were extremely accommodating. You may ask, why adopt from so far away…? I did not want a pit mix, I wanted a small dog who was good with other dogs. I could not find that near me after months of looking. I wholeheartedly recommend Bluetails.

I found Walter on petfinder, available through Blue Tails, who had rescued him from the Jeff Parish SPCA & paid for surgery to remove a cyst (that was a result of severe neglect). I know people complain about the adoption fee, but considering the medical care, treatment and recovery time with a wonderful foster family (including infected eyes, atrophied muscles, and the cyst)- $275 was a bargain. Blue Tails is thorough, annoyingly so, but it is so they know the dogs are going to be well cared for. Couldn't be happy they rescued Walter and now i get to spoil this previously neglected old dog for the rest of his days.
