This woman is in it for making money, she is completely rude and insulting. I recently put a post up in Britslist for lab puppies. I rescued a pregnant lab delivered her babies gave shots and de-wormed all of them trying to find loving homes for them and she got on there with her business page and personal face book account insulting me telling me if I was a good person I would get them fixed . THEY ARE 8 WEEKS OLD! Anybody knows you don't get a puppy at 8 weeks old fixed. After looking at reviews she sells dogs for 500 a piece unvaccinated. Apparently I was stepping on her toes. Stay clear from her and her joke of a business.
I just got two wonderful kittens, Luffy and Nami through mainstreet mutt. I found a Facebook post on their page, showed interest, and was able to communicate with both Amy and the foster mom Kelly without issue. They settled in right away, and I received their medical records and chip information through email before taking them home. Thanks!
Attempting to charge $550 for unvaccinated or fixed animals is mind blowing. This so called rescue get their animals from puppy mill auctions, Craigslist for free, and maybe some from actual rescues and shelters. This whole place is sketch. They DO NOT GIVE SHOTS NOR FIX THE ANIMALS per the 501c3 and rcw rules. You can see endless negative reviews backing this not only on google but Facebook and other social media platforms as well. The conditions these animals have been in at times is horrendous. Puppies barely old enough to eat hard food being given adult dog food and again never receiving actual shots or vet care. Steer clear of this puppy flipping rescue, because that’s what they are. They flip free animals and do nothing to ensure population control or vaccination status. Some of their fosters have even released private convos and photos on social media!
My daughter adopted a puppy from Main Street Mutt Rescue about five months ago. The puppy got one shot. Every time my daughter tried to contact them about shots and now spaying, they never got back to her. Before she worked with this group I warned her to get a spay certificate or something to insure that the money she spent would pay for the spay. She didn't bother to get one and now is going to pay money she doesn't have to spay her. A rescue should care whether or not more unwanted puppies come into the world. If they can't afford to back up their promises, the fee for the puppy should have been minimal. Get a puppy somewhere else or get some guarantee from a vet that they will keep their promises.
A wonderful rescue. I foster small dogs for Amy and she has been helpful, responsive and kind. She adores these animals and does all she can to save them and get them into loving homes.
Overall their organization is nice. Being a small rescue organization, their adoption fees are noticably higher then others of a similar type in Whatcom County. We've adopted one dog through them and she's a loving little pup and a great addition to our family.
