Description Housatonic Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a thrift warehouse where we accept donated materials from both individuals and commercial operations, and then sell them to our shoppers at a discounted rate. The funds we raise at our ReStore go directly to fund the building of affordable homes in our community and provide free basic home repairs to elderly and veterans who are living on fixed incomes. Some of the items you will find are furniture, home décor, lighting, kitchen cabinets, windows, doors, tools and appliances.
Would not recommend this store to anyone. The “manager” is rude and has no clue what she’s doing. I drove over an hour after speaking with her on the phone to get here and find out the entire kitchen cabinet set I was willing to pay cash for was sold a few minutes before I arrived. Now she wants me to wait over 2 hours to possibly get another kitchen set that she has no details and dimensions on. After proceeding to talk down and berate me for being upset she went to her colleagues within earshot of me to talk about me and how I am the problem. All I did was simply come in looking to purchase over $1000 of cabinets and this is how I get treated. DONT COME HERE I waited for at least two hours. So I figured I would update this review. Them to come back with us Kitchen set. They said they had they came up to me. Were mad that I wrote a review but told me that the kitchen set was no longer going to be brought to the location. So the hour drive back-and-forth +2 hours of waiting in the store for absolutely nothing to show for it. Completely ridiculous!
This is not the same store I visited a few years ago. With new management in recent months and the addition of home goods, this is the new happening place to shop...often! The displays are constantly changing due to quick inventory turnover because the items are fairly priced. They are also now very active on social media so you can follow them to get alerts on new items coming in.
Good selection, but often overpriced and starting to see the same selection every time we go. Some products have been there for months and it’s clear it’s just because it’s not priced right. Who wants to pay full price, or close to it for used or damaged items that were donated when you can pay the same for it new and direct from the retailer?
I have been here twice and left with items both times. I do enjoy shopping here because I find things that are super useful and these things are being saved from going to the dump.
Manerger at the place was rude over phone and didn't let me explain the issue we were having. They cancelled last min when I took the day from work to donate the things and also moved everything to the garage to accommodate them.
The place has gotten way too expensive over the course of the years. The pricing simply doesnt match the quality of product. You used to be able to come here and find a great deal or piece. Now - it feels more like window shopping donated stuff
