Update: we got our girl and she is the absolute happiest girl ever. The ladies here are beyond nice! Called today and spoke with April about a pup. She was beyond helpful and walked me through the adoption process there. Filled out a form and we are applicant number 2. Praying we can take our sweet girl home tomorrow and the other applicant doesn’t show up. 🤞🏻 All in all a very clean place for a shelter and super nice ladies.

These are some of the nicest people! They do a great job taking care of animals They can always use help from volunteers Watching animals. Walking dogs. Donations are always welcome They also have a food bank for those struggling to feed their pets

I found some puppies and their mama on the side of the road and brought them to Paulding County Animal Shelter. When I brought the dogs inside, the girl working the front desk looked at them and said “awe y’all are cute! This is the worst place for you.” When I asked her what that meant, she said that puppies don’t have good immune systems. Then I asked if they were going to be okay, and she said she couldn’t say. Staff was unfriendly and seemed to hate being there. What is the public not seeing that they are?

I adopted Kyle a couple of weeks ago. best decision i ever made He is the best boy ever I have not had the first bit of trouble with him. He is great.

My cat i got 2 weeks ago went from a she to a he, be careful getting kittens. People were cool though, just very shocked and confused😭

We found 4 stray kittens on the side of the road. Called around everywhere from vets to shelters to humane societies and no one had availability to take them or they were closed. I called Paulding County Animal Control, explained the situation, and they said they have availability to take them. We drove there and were really happy we found a place for the kittens. We were turned away because we technically didn’t find them in Paulding County, even though it was nearby. My issue is that no one told me this on the phone and when we got there, the lady was extremely rude about it all. She was looking down doing paperwork while she was talking to me. I told her we had nowhere to take the kittens and was tearing up and she just kept repeating that they wouldn’t take them. Offering no solutions or no help for these baby kittens. Awful experience here
