I’m writing a positive review on behalf of our senior special needs dog Eddie, who passed away peacefully this summer. Eddie had a large inoperable tumor which we managed the best we could given the circumstances, he was rescued from the streets in terrible conditions, as a senior dog. That being said the main Vet is an older man who’s very quiet and doesn’t speak much, he isn’t very personable but knows his work. The vet nurses who cared for Eddie and helped sedate him for grooming sessions were always very attentive to Ed and cared a lot about his condition and health. They always wrapped him him cozy blankets to keep him safe and warm, and we’re very communicative about how he was doing during and after his grooming sessions. We understand it’s not easy to groom a dog with a tumor! We appreciate the care they gave him, which helped him live way longer than predicted. So thank you.
Brought my car in for a pre-op to get spayed and the doctor couldn’t have been anymore rude. He handled my 6 month old cat with zero care (he clearly HATES cats). Brought my cat in to be spayed picked her up at the end of the day and was back at urgent care that night because her incision was bleeding. Fast forward 3 days later and my cat is back in the emergency room for passing a clot due to her surgery. I do not recommend this vet. Do not go if you have a cat. This doctor is also so unfriendly and unpleasant to talk to!!!!
I have had my maltese Oliver there , I think they are wonderful. , each time never had an issue They took of the problem , it’s where he got his 1st shots 12 years ago . I have moved further away but need to get back thetec
I had been taking our pets to MAH since 1989. While on vacation (1,500 miles away from home and due back home within 1-week) my dog became very itchy and scratching non-stop. Benadryll didn't help. I phoned MAH and had explained to them that she was scratching to the point that she was whining. MAH took the info and said that they will call me back. They did call me back but said that they cannot prescribe anything for her because it had been 4-months since they had seen her last and to bring her in when we return home. Seriously, 4-months since she had been seen last??? Give me a break. To end my poor dog's misery, I took her to a vet in the area we were staying and they prescribed something stronger then Benadryll for her itch. The next a.m. she was almost back to normal. After 28 faithful years with MAH, I am sorry to say that I will never, ever bring my pets back to them. They did not show any pity or compassion for my dog, nor did they not recommend any other form of relief for her. The vet we took her to followed up with a how is she doing phone call (very professional!!!) I never received a follow-up call from MAH. In the interim, I have found another vet and to boot, they are much cheaper and more professional. Delete review
I've been bringing both my cat and dog to Mansfield Veterinary Health Center for a while now and you all are so very caring to my animals and that's why I will never stop bringing my animals to you because you guys are absolutely amazing.
This is my very first review I am ever writing online. I have been going to this vet for the past year and a half, so I had tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, every time my dog has gone in for a visit, I have left extremely unhappy. During my most recent visit, I warned both the tech and Dr. Sohn that my dog can be reactive, especially when they touch his paws, and I offered to hold him and they refused which was fine with me. The doctor did not let my dog smell him or even get comfortable around him before bringing him up on the table AFTER I warned about his reactivity. I told Dr. Sohn that his front left paw was irritated and he did not even look at the front left paw, as My dog showed signs of reacting, just like I warned and the doctor essentially tossed him aside and said “Forget it, that’s it.” Without looking at the problem paw, he chalked it up to “allergies” when my dog has not had this problem in his two and a half years of life. He did not even make an attempt to look again nor did he make me feel confident in his diagnosis. He proceeded to give him a vaccination without educating me or giving me any options (this happened the visit before as well, and I spoke directly to the doctor and expressed how unprofessional it felt). The doctor is dismissive and rude, and does not communicate with the owner at all. I spent about 5 minutes with him and he did not even look at the paw I made the appointment for, which is unacceptable for the cost that I paid for the visit. This is all on top of an issue I had about six months ago regarding my dog’s lyme disease. He showed an extreme lack of care and compassion towards my dog or me. Not to mention, the doctor has never once educated me on any of the topics regarding my dog (including his lyme disease) but the techs try their best to take the time to help me understand what’s going on. In the end, I asked the tech at the front desk to send over my dog’s records to my email because I will not be returning. The one star that I am required to give is for the friendly and patient techs that were kind to me and my boy. Edit: It has now been a few weeks since we visited this vet and the problem I had gone in for help with has not been fixed and has actually gotten worse. Absolutely because the vet did not even attempt to examine the area I was concerned about. Now I will be having to pay for a second opinion because this vet did not do his job. Do not go here!
