I’ve been going here for years. My beautiful black kitty chachas was been a regular here for years all the way to her final day. As devastating It was one of the staff reached out to me informed me of Darla needs a home. She had one of her eye removed but the next day after the surgery, she was ready to play and live. I’m going through a personal hard time but the staff Jennifer introduced me to Darla and thanks to this vet staff and Darla, all of you have definitely saved me. If you worried about your ‘pets’ if they are in good hands or not? Come to this vet. They are in great hands. You will be greeted by two of the official welcoming kitties there.

We came here a few years ago when I first got my dog. This clinic traumatized my boy and we can never have a normal visit again. The vet was extremely rude and cold and even had us hold my dog down while he clipped his nails. My dog got aggressive and he still had us force him down. He was a puppy. What kind of Vet doesn’t think of the long term consequences of that? I didn’t know any better as it was my first dog/puppy. The worst mistake of my life. This vet does not love animals and does this profession for money. It is very clear by his attitude and the way he handles his clinic. I do not recommend him and he should be ashamed of himself.

My trusted place to take my cat for any concerns. Getting an appointment was easy and the doctor answered all my questions. The costs are reasonable and it was a happy visit. I give 4 stars as I have had a warmer welcome at different vet locations with the doctor being more forthcoming with responses.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! I remained a client for the past 6 or 7 years ONLY because I had blind faith that Dr. Chakin was a good vet. If it weren’t for my aunt giving me the recommendation, then I wouldn’t have had the faith in his ability to provide proper care for animals. His personality is not one you’d expect of someone who chooses to work with animals everyday. Never approached my dog sweetly with pets on the head or belly scratch. His personality very dry and borderline rude. I’ve never left a visit to this vet feeling better than I did when I walked in. I never left feeling like my questions were answered. 9 times out of 10 he will say that he’s not sure so needs more testing to be done which, yep! You guessed it, means you need to spend more money. The staff is no different. I’ve never been greeted with warm welcomes. Anytime I’d have to hand them my dog so they could bring him to the back for bloodwork (why the have to take him somewhere out of sight to take his blood is beyond me), it made me uncomfortable to do so because they just weren’t nice to him. My dog is terrified and they aren’t trying to console him or talk to him or anything. Finally, the absolute last straw with this place was when I took my dog to be groomed there. (Regular groomers won’t take him bc of his age and blindness, it has to be done at a vet). When I picked him up, not only was he just shaved when I specifically did not want him shaved. And he was NOT matted like they said he was. But since I picked him up he won’t stop shaking his head and pawing at his ear. It’s bright red and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out it’s headed toward infected. And his ears weren’t even clean!! Since then my dog has been shaking nonstop, acting very skidding and strange and I called to bring him back in and they wanted to charge me an exam fee plus all the other extras they always add into the cost plus the medication for something that wasn’t an issue before I brought my dog there!!!!! It took an act of congress to get them to waive the exam fee. And when I was going to be THREE minutes late (I called to tell them) they said that I have to reschedule. This was the final straw. I told them to delete my file and that they will never see me again and they never even apologized for any of this. So now I get to go spend a small fortune on an emergency room visit for this issue that ultimately is the result of trusting these terrible people with my dogs well being. They do not care about your dog. They don’t care about you or your financial situation. They care about milking every dime they can out of you and doing the bare minimum when it comes to pet care. Save yourself the heartache, headache and money and go somewhere else if you love your pet.

This is our first time going to them for grooming. They were recommended to us by a family friend. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions. Their grooming is very affordable and the groomer did a great job with our 2 dogs.

My dog had a bad experience here. Dr. Chaikin did not seem to be experienced with large breeds and seems ill equipped for larger breeds. His mannerisms were slightly aggressive towards my dog. My dog is very gentle and loving and has no aggressive tendencies but he came in fearful and hesitant, making myself and my dog very uncomfortable.
