I got a great dog and everything is fine but Jesus Christ this organization is the absolute worst at communicating with people. It wasn't till a little while after getting my dogs shots that I was given the info to register his microchip. Then with trying to get him neutered it became a hassle because he had to be held at the vet because apparently they setup up the time for me to pick him up from the vet. BUT I've always had trouble reaching anyone there by phone and then emails have time and time again been lost. I appreciate them including the puppies shots and neutering but Jesus pick up the phone if I have to stay in contact with you so much. 2 stars because I love my dog but working with them is absolutely a headache and unorganized mess.

I have followed this rescue for about 4 years. We adopted from them 3 years ago, and I’ve volunteered with them several times since then. The Board and staff genuinely love dogs, and it shows. While the have a “focus” in n sporting dogs, they have taken in a wide range of dogs. Sometimes the dog is in such bad shape, there is no way to tell the breed, but CRR welcomes them in. They take all sorts of challenging medical cases and do their best to bring these dogs into the happy lives they deserve. I can see why people who didn’t get the dog they wanted or are turned down to foster would be personally upset. But this just shows that for CRR the dogs come first. I am proud to support CRR. (And Kelly Gray. She’s the best!!!)

I have dedicated over a decade to animal welfare, have countless recommendations - professional and adopters and rescues - and I was told I’m on their “do not foster list.” Instead of speaking to me they make an assumption. This is part of the problem with rescue these days.
